Red Ribbon & Fall Festival Week

Hello Hopper Families!

Time flies when we are having fun. With another great week under our belt, we are now looking forward to this week's events. Box Tops collection, picture retake and Fall festival are all this week! We need your help with donations or volunteering. As you already know, our library still needs storage bags for our kids to carry the books home. We also have Sign Ups for the Fall Festival. Please remember that the children have a blast at this event and there's no entrance fee. We need your help to make the evening a success! Hold on, we still didn't talk about Red Ribbon Week, where our children will learn to say "No" to drugs. We have all this information and more below. Read on!

LIBRARY: Have you sent in storage bags for our Library books yet? These bags are given to the students to protect our library books when they carry it home. We need an brand of the Slider Jumbo Storage Bags 2.5 Gallon. Just send a box to school with your child or drop it off at the office. RED RIBBON WEEK: As mentioned above, it's Red Ribbon Week from Monday, October 22 to Friday, October 26. We encourage all Reidenbaugh families and staff to help celebrate this week by taking time to talk to your children about the dangerous affects of alcohol, tobacco, illegal drugs, and other harmful substances. Here is the week schedule to support our Red Ribbon Week:

Monday, Oct 22 - Use your head -- wear red!!

Tuesday, Oct 23 - My future is too bright for drugs!! Wear neon/bright clothing!!

Wednesday, Oct 24 - Team up against drugs!! Wear favorite sports team clothes!!

Thursday, Oct 25 - Real heroes don't do drugs!! Wear a superhero shirt/hat/socks/cape!!

Friday, Oct 26 - The Hoppers are drug free!! Wear your Reidenbaugh/MT spirit wear!!

PICTURE RETAKE DAY: If your child missed Picture Day or needs to retake it for any reason, have him/her ready on Thursday, October 25.

BOX TOPS: This Friday, October 26, is Box Tops collection day! Please send in your Box Tops sheet with the teacher’s name in the space provided at the top of the sheet. If you still have more clipped Box Tops, please place them in a Ziploc bag of no more than 50 per bag. Label each bag with the teacher's name, grade and amount of Box Tops. Remember to check expiration dates. You can send in sheets that are not full. If you have any questions, you can contact Christine Mathers at 519-8861 or at cmathers@comcast.net.

FALL FESTIVAL: It's this week!! We are so excited for this evening but we can't do a good job without your help and this is one of the kids' favorite events. Here is the link for volunteers. Please consider volunteering!! If you can help for only 30 minutes, it would be awesome! Here is the link for donations. It will be on October 26 from 6:00 to 7:30pm. REIDENBAUGH FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT: Order sheet is due by Friday, October 26!! The movie we will watch is Dr.Seuss’ The Grinch on Wednesday November 14, 2018 at 6:30pm at Penn Cinema. Attention: tickets won't be sold at the door. Questions? Roseanne Myers rtmrunner@gmail.com.

YEARBOOK COVER CONTEST: Make sure your 4th grader submits his entry on a 8.5"x 11" paper with a vertical orientation. The theme is Reidenbaugh CARES, and it can be made by one student or a group of students. For questions, please contact Chris Drew at christiedrew@gmail.com or 717-406-8400.

From the office: If your student is a car rider for the day, please send in a note. No changes may be made to a student's transportation after 3:00pm.

Students arriving after the 9:00AM bell must come to the school accompanied by a parent or guardian. The student must be signed in at the front office by the parent or guardian.

Please send in an excuse note the date your student returns from an absence.

An educational trip request form must be received in the office 1 (one) week prior to the absence or it will not be approved. All school work missed during the trip will be provided after the absence.
