Book Fair and Open House

Hello RES families!

We hope you had a great time at Mini-THON Pizza Night. We sure did! Also, Books for Breakfast (pictures below) was fantastic, but hold on, we are just warming up! This is one of our busiest weeks of the year and we can't wait to start. Book Fair has started last week and it is in full speed. How many books have you gotten? Our first Grand Event is tomorrow, Monday, March 25.Can't wait for that! Then, on Wednesday, March 27 we have an Open House with Art Show and Culture Night where you can purchase all those books you have your eyes on. It will be so much fun!!

GRAND EVENT: This year we have a Grand Event for your child!! Because of the importance of grandparents in a child's development, as loved mentors and role models, Scholastic Book Fair has reserved a day for these important people to celebrate the experience of reading with your student. On Monday, March 25, we invite grandparents, or another very important person in your child's life, to join us for coffee and cookie before school hours and special book fair time. This Grand Event starts promptly at 8:00am. Please enter through the car rider doors. Please click here for flyer. We also need volunteers. You can bring your kiddos with you and they can shop the fair, help out as well, or enjoy juice and a cookie while you volunteer. Please contact Kim Topf at kjtopf@gmail.com if you can help.

There will be opportunities to buy & sample finger foods from different countries and participate in fun activities with prizes! Get ready to take a trip around the world - and have your kids learn some new things in the process. There will also be opportunities to buy books from different countries at the Book Fair that day!
