Red, White and Blue

Greetings Hoppers families!

As the end of the school year approaches, it's nothing but good times here at RES! This past week each grade got to participate in Field day, and oh what fun they had! They got to run an obstacle course, play tug of war, have some water balloon fun, relay races, kickball, parachute fun, and everyone's favorite- Gaga! And to top it off, they got a popsicle at the end! My kiddos said it was the best day of the whole year! Thank you to all who helped! Check out the pictures below!

This week will end with the 4th grade students vs. the teachers in a friendly game of kickball on Friday, May 24th. Please send in a beach towel with your child and a bottle of water. Also, don't forget to apply sunscreen! Parents, feel free to come watch the game! No need to sign in at the front desk and you do not need clearances. Game begins at 9:30 at the baseball field. Don't forget it's an early dismissal day and there is no school on Monday, May 27th. Everyone enjoy your Memorial Weekend!

HOPPERVILLE BOOK SALE: Our last Hopperville of the year will be this Wednesday, May 22nd. You know the drill by now- books as low as a quarter! Can't beat that deal!!!

RED, WHITE & BLUE DAY: As mentioned above, we are having our kickball game on the lawn on Friday, May 24. Don't forget those towels to sit on!

EARLY DISMISSAL: This Friday, May 24, we have early dismissal. Students and staff will be dismissed at 1:40 pm. Please plan accordingly.

NO SCHOOL: Reidenbaugh will be closed on Monday, May 27 in observance of Memorial Day. Classes resume on Tuesday, May 28 at their normal time, 9:00am.

MOVIE NIGHT: The next movie night will be June 26th, 7:00p.m. at Penn Cinema, and it will be Toy Story 4!!!!!! You won't want to miss this! Doors open at 6:30. Order forms are due by Friday, May 31st. Please contact Rosenne Myers at rtmrunner@gmail.com with any questions.

SPRING FESTIVAL: As the Spring Festival draws closer, we are getting ready for our volunteers. If you volunteer 30 minutes of your time, we will be very grateful. If we all volunteer just 30 minutes our students and families will have a wonderful time. Please remember we can't make this event a success without your help!! Click here for the Sign up.

4TH GRADE CELEBRATION: This will be held on Tuesday, June 4th, 6:00p.m.- 7:30p.m. It is a drop off event for the students only. Also, please check your students backpack- they received a class t-shirt on Friday- please keep it handy- they will need to wear it to the celebration. More details to follow. There are 2 separate sign up genius' for this event. One is for in kind donations, we especially need black lights and glow items to go with out "Get your Glow on" Theme!

The second sign up is for volunteers the day of event. Please consider signing up for a slot- you can even split the time with a friend- just note it in the comment section.

CAMP INVENTION IS COMING: Are you looking for a super fun, innovative, creative summer camp? We have the perfect camp for your kiddos, Camp Invention! Camp Invention is a nationally acclaimed summer program where STEM concepts come to life. Led by local teachers, this program has tapped into kids' natural curiosity since 1990. LOOKING FOR A SUMMER MATH TUTOR? Tom Saurer, a former teacher of Reidenbaugh Elementary and current 5th Grade Teacher at Landis Run Intermediate, will be tutoring math this summer (Grades 3-6)! From the office: If your student is a car rider for the day, please send in a note. No changes may be made to a student's transportation after 3:00pm.

Students arriving after the 9:00AM bell must come to the school accompanied by a parent or guardian. The student must be signed in at the front office by the parent or guardian.

Please send in an excuse note the date your student returns from an absence.

An educational trip request form must be received in the office 1 (one) week prior to the absence or it will not be approved. All school work missed during the trip will be provided after the absence.
