Week 21
Hello Hopper Families! Friendly reminder that there is NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 17th. Also, we have cancelled Bingo Night due to rising case numbers. We hope to have another one in the Spring.
CHAIRPERSON NEEDED: The PTO is looking for a chair person for the Art Show, which will be held sometime in early to mid March. This responsibility primarily entails creating and copying a flyer, being at the school the day artwork is dropped off, organizing artwork on tables in the auditorium, making labels for each piece, ordering ribbons, and taking care of cleanup. Of course, the board is always available to help guide you! Please contact Rebecca Stanion at rebeccas1222@yahooo.com if you are interested. We can not have this event without a parent volunteer.
WINTER WEATHER: Wondering where to check to find out if schools are closed/delayed due to inclement weather? First, check your email. It will come from the school messenger and will have the most information. We did get an email this morning about the possibility of snow tomorrow, please make sure to check it and read through it. Also, try these places: Facebook- Manheim Township School District page or www.mtwp.net, also the local TV stations (WGAL, ABC 27, CBS, FOX & WITF) and local radio stations . If school is on a 1 hour delay, then it starts at 10:00, and if its a 2 hour delay, then starts at 11:00. It will also be communicated whether its a traditional snow day or FID (flexible instruction day).
GRANDVIEW SINGS: The Grandview Sings! Community Children’s Choir is beginning their 8th season and is open to all children in grades 1–5. Two 10-week sessions were planned with one rehearsal each week. Rehearsals start January 24th. Please see the attached flyer for more info.
